EnXo: A Music Prodigy!

A mix of Janelle Monae, Michael Jackson and James Brown with a talent that no one can deny, let me introduce you to EnXo. This amazing artist, singer, songwriter, producer, from San Diego, California, is just 20 years old but has an ear for good music and is blessed with a huge talent to make it!
He started singing at the age of 7 and attended a performing arts school where he became President of the Choral Ensemble choir. With his choir, they travelled to Hawaii, Boston, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, LA to participate in many choir competitions and they became the winningest high school choir in the country!
In October 2008, he released his first album called "Black Circus: Act 1" (the first of a three series album) and in June of this year, he released the second part of his Black Circus series called "Black Circus: Intermission". His first album can be found on Itunes and you can download his second album FOR FREE on his official website enxo.bandcamp.com.

His style is refreshing, different and hella funky! What I liked about his style is that you can't categorize his music in one genre, he's very versatile when it comes to music (he jumps from r'n'b to blues to hip hop with an astonishing ease!). He wants his music to inspire the world and he says he wants to change lives with his art. For those of you who are Janelle Monae's fans (or just love good music), I'm sure you'll appreciate (just like I did) this little video made by EnXo himself, and the song "Alive" is on his mixtape called "Inspire" that you can download for free on his website.

EnXo is definitely a hope for music in the upcoming years, he's the proof that young people can still make good music. His creativity and innovation shows he's an artist who is devoted to music and devoted to his fans.
He will be releasing the last part of the three part circus serie in 2011 so look out for his work and support this wonderful artist.

When old meets new!

Have you ever listened one of your favorite artists on the old cassettes tapes that you would put in the radio and would have to flip it on the other side to listen to the rest of the album? I'm sure we both agree that it wasn't the most convenient way of listening to music since now we have our beloved CD's and different generations of Ipod...but who doesn't miss the design of a nice old cassette tape, huh?? I know I do!!

Well, thanks to Nathan Lee and Trevor Coghill (two Canadians, creators of "Contexture Design" based in Vancouver), some lucky people can enjoy the performance of a high speed Ipod Nano paired with the look of a 90's cassette. Those industrial designers have made stuff inspired from urban culture, environment,...Their latest (and must say: HOTTEST!) creation was that Ipod Nano case made from cassette tapes (re-designed and rebuilt to fit the Ipod)!!! Unfortunately, Contexture Design released that marvellous creation in limited edition and is now....sold out (go ahead, you can cry...I did too). But at least, I had to give them a round of applause for this genius idea. Poor Christina Aguilera's album flopping hard

Christina Aguilera’s new album, “Bionic,” is doing so poorly, music insiders say her label RCA is in “rescue mode.”

Sales for Aguilera’s fourth album have barely hit 200,000 in five weeks of release. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard charts and quickly fell out of the Top 10. (In comparison, Drake’s “Thank Me Later” sold about 450,000 in its first week.) The tepid sales come as Aguilera canceled her summer tour, citing inadequate rehearsal time between the album release and the tour dates. Plus, with the release of her sexually charged video for “Not Myself Tonight” — in which she wore bondage gear and kissed women — critics slammed her as a Lady Gaga knockoff.

An RCA rep denies any panic, saying Aguilera “is a pillar of the RCA Music Group and is an undeniable talent with one of the greatest voices of our time. She continues to push herself as an artist, and we are behind her efforts 100 percent.” Her manager, Irving Azoff, added, “I am the one who deals with the label, and this couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Damn, she should’ve came a little more correct this time around and showing some class as well as showcasing that beautiful voice of hers (especially since she’s a mother now), BUT at least her album isn’t doing as bad as Kelis’. SMH

I don't have that album or did i listen to it but all i am going to say is, she shouldn't have tried to go back to her dirty years we have GaGa for that, but we all know that artists have their up's and down so she will be back i with that for her.

PS: That "Not Myself Tonight " video was hot, it gave me a boner so i give her that LOL.
